Live intentionally

The past few months have been a difficult road. I coped by withdrawing, especially from those who needed anything from me. The guys on the street are genuine examples of unconditional love. When they see me they don't ask why I haven't done anything for them lately, they just want to know how I am and where I've been. For me to not continue on a path of solitude I had to create a list of things I wanted to become routine in my life and be intentional about including them into my week. I came up with the list by first looking at the areas of my life that were being neglected. I've been following the list for 2 weeks now and I have been surprised at how the Lord creatively places opportunities to fulfill different areas on the list. They are so much richer, deeper and more valuable than the way I had planned. That's why I decided to blog about it. Because it's not about me or what I'm doing, it's about the Lord and how He is working in me.
  • Invest in someone
  • Clean/Organize
  • Interact with another culture
  • Fellowship with "as iron sharpens iron" people
  • Reconnect/Follow up
  • Alone time
  • Time with people who connect me to a family model
  • Time in creation
Some of the ways the above are fulfilled are personal or involve others that I do not want to share publicly, but over the next few weeks as the Lord continues to work in my life I'll share them with you. Both as a testimony and I hope as an inspiration.
